As aforementioned in my previous post, I have been frequently watching a particular band, Layla. Well, in this post, I’ll be talking not just about them, but also the a couple of their gigs that I’ve attended as well as other bands that I got to watch together with them.

Like I said before, they usually play in Amos Cafe Bar, which is actually a really great place to hang out and watch some bands. “Amos” stands for “Alternative Music is Our Source”, and they’ve been around ever since late last year. Their selection of bands isn’t all that bad either! There hasn’t been one time that I’ve been disappointed by their line-ups ;)

The atmosphere is also great and it’s surprisingly very neat and tidy compared to most bars. There are three area there which is the lounge, the smoking area, and the bar itself. I don’t have any photos of the said places though, boohoo! :’( But I can assure you that it’s a nice place. The people are friendly, the food is good, and most importantly, the bathrooms are clean! Hahaha! No seriously though, you guys should check the place out :)

Cute wall ♥ And look! One of my favorite bands, the Rolling Stones! :D

Club Sandwich ~ ♥

I’m going to be blogging about a couple of nights I’ve went here, specifically last month, February 23 for AMOS Thursdays, and March 15 “15 comes before 16: A thanksgiving Gig” by Revolver Productions.
I will now give everyone a major face palm because I oh so intelligently forgot to charge my camera on both events, that’s why the photos I will be uploading are limited. *shoots self* I do hope you guys will enjoy this post though! :)
Continuing…here are some photos from AMOS Thursdays! (Feb 23) They usually hold gigs Thursday nights, and this is when Layla usually plays there along with other bands. But for now, photos!

This is one of the bands that performed that night, The Strangeness! You could click on the link for their facebook page. Check them out! :D

Presenting, their guitarist!
Sorry, I wasn’t really able to talk to them so I don’t really know their names, hahaha!
They are a band that plays garage rock music, but they played original compositions. I do remember them for being really energetic and lively on stage. And it also looked like they had a lot of fans that night, haha!

Here’s another band, Silid. This is their vocalist/bassist :) (Hey, playing the bass and singing at the same time is sorta hard you know!)

This is the guitarist of Silid. I think I really should start talking to people there, hahaha!
I really liked this band too. They played really well. I don’t remember the title of their songs though, haha!
As for the second gig that I want to, “15 comes before 16”, they actually had a very well-known local band playing that night, Pedicab. And of course, they put on a really good show.
Here’s the event poster~

Pedicab’s vocalist, Diego Mapa.

Here’s Pedicab’s guitarist, Jason Caballa.

Their drummer, Mike Dizon.

RA Rivera on visuals/mastering…although I don’t really have a photo of him, LOL.

Of course who could forget, their keyboardist/synthesizer, Raimund Marasigan of Eraserheads! Yay!
Another band that played that night was Stela Mariz. If I remember correctly, they were one of the first bands that played that night. You could click on the link if you want to check out their music! :)
Here are some photos of Stela Mariz!
